Shop for Let!

This blog post was originally written in July 2014 for our sister website – The Money Muppet. We set that site up in January 2014 as we embarked on our journey to financial freedom. The Money Muppet site no loner exists, so we’ve incorporated our financial journey into our travel blog.

Things are moving along slowly but surely! The Victorian shop embedded in the front of the house and the old cellar’s up for let. It’s a new experience for us; we’ve let out a couple of houses before (and rented ourselves recently) but have never done a commercial let so we’re having fund understanding this new world.

The costs are eye-popping; we’re not likely to turn a profit for quite a while with the expected legal costs, but after that it’s more passive income coming our way for as long as the shop stays active.
