Tour Summary
In April 2018 we caught the ferry across the channel for three months. We had no firm plans, except for Jay needing to be in Switzerland in early July to run the
Zermatt half marathon. We thought we would wander over to Croatia for some beach time, however the hot temperatures across Europe stopped that. Charlie, our pampered pooch, struggled with the heat, so we stayed in France. This motorhome tour of France saw us doing short drives and staying in places for a few days. It was a new type of travel for us, and we found we really liked it.
As the temperatures rose, we headed to the mountains for cooler air, and so Jay could do some running at altitude. After the half marathon, we made our way back into France to watch a stage of the
Tour de France. We then did some longish drives via Luxembourg (fuel stop only) and one night in Belgium before getting the ferry back to the UK.
