Fenny Bentley Beer Festival 2011

Beer fest time! Off to the Bentley Brook Inn, near Ashbourne in Derbyshire UK for a long weekend of beer, BBQ and probably much rain and wind!

As we’ve flogged Harvey, this is the first year in about 6 that we’re camping. The campsite is situated in a natural wind tunnel at the top of a hill, and Ju and I have always smugly pulled up in the van and watched our mates struggle to pitch their tents. The shoe is on the other foot this year, as we’re tenting it too and we’ve not the first idea how to put the thing up.

On the beer front, they usually have between 50 and 100 ‘real ales’. By ‘real’ they mean ‘really awful’ to most people, although I love ’em all, even the rancid ciders!
