Drinking in the views south to Nordreisa
Zagan the motorhome can’t believe Norway, it’s simply breath-taking. He’s trundled about following the coast, winding around the fjords, and while we haven’t gone far on our map, it’s taken a couple of hours to get here. After a stop for lunch on the top of a pass, we’ve found a patch of land next to a couple of small beaches near Nordreisa (N69.81151, E21.12914).
I drove us here today, we’re taking it in turns driving now. After parking up for the night, Jay got a fire going on the beach and has thoroughly tested his telescopic Finnish sausage cooking stick. Charlie has been going nuts for all the smells of the sea and the sheep wandering past. I am gazing out watching little white motorhomes make their way around the fjord edge, while keeping my eyes peeled for more large creatures splashing around in the water – not whale sized, but some sort of porpoise.
The weather has been a mix of cloud and sun today, but we got word from Craig and Joanne last night that they had reached Nordkapp and the midnight sun was shining. I can’t wait to see their photos. We’re all loving Norway.

You two have got Soooooooooooooooooooo much to luck forward to here in the Lofotens, its unreal!!! Take care, Kindest…Wayne.
Woo hoo! Sat overlooking mountains flecked with snow and a fjord opening out to the north. Sweet wild camping spot we have here, taking it easy today not wanting to shift through this country too quickly! Can’t wait for the islands, enjoy, Jay
I sam a great place to do some fishing put some dog meat on hook
then keep eye on the wee one.
Charlie’s voted against any dog-food related option other than feeding the lot to him Dad! On a beach here, so too much sea weed to fish. Most folks seem to use spinners and lures from the beach, so I’ve got a few of them to try when we get to a deep enough bit of coastline. Off to walk Charlie in a mo, a local fella told us a sea eagle used to live hereabouts so I’ll have my eye open for it. Love, Jay
