Taking our Motorhome to the Weighbridge

Early start today as we’re moving our furniture into storage. But the first job was to take our motorhome Dave to the weighbridge to make sure we’re road legal.

We fought the rush hour traffic as we headed over to Ilkeston. Imagine heading to the airport for a year long trip with everything you’ll need, then you get to the check in desk and realise you don’t have a clue what your bag weighs. We know we can’t weigh over 3100kg, but we don’t have a clue what he weighed to start with. Anyway I’m pleased to report we were under – 2960kg! Ok so I wasn’t in the van at the time, but even after all the pre-departure treats I don’t weigh that much!
