Every penny or cent we spend while we travel in our motorhome is tracked. It gets written into my diary and then the motorhome costs are transferred into a spreadsheet so we can see where we are spending our money. I started tracking when we were paying off our mortgage. By tracking our spending we could easily identify areas where we could trim our spending and help pay off our mortgage all the quicker.

Writing everything down may sound like a bit of a drag, but it has now become a habit and I hardly notice I am doing it.
