With the abyss of Fortysomethingness looming, we quit work, rented out our home and set off on the adventure of a lifetime. Our plan was to tour Europe for a year in our 20 year old motorhome named Dave.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by our pet pooch Charlie, we were two months into our trip when we found out that it was possible to take Charlie to Morocco with us. Now that would be an adventure!<\/p>\n

All the research we did said we should take a guided tour, our budget wouldn\u2019t stretch to that \u2013 but that didn\u2019t stop us.<\/p>\n

Follow our month-long adventure of discovery in this mysterious country, as we journey across amazingly diverse landscapes of deserts and mountains. Explore the sights, sounds and smells as we tackle culture shock and nerves while haggling with the locals, riding camels in the Sahara Desert, falling victim to a fake tour guide with a lust for wine and battling with our statically charged canine who developed a taste of camel poo.<\/p>\n

About the authors<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Julie and Jason Buckley quit work just before they turned 40 in 2011, to take a once in a lifetime, one-year tour of Europe in their motorhome. Documenting their travels on their blog ourtour.co.uk, t<\/em>wo years later they finally returned home. Yearning for more adventures, they set a goal to change their lives and become financially free, enabling them to travel whenever they wanted to.<\/p>\n

Aged 43, they \u2018retired\u2019 and took to the road once more to explore from the North Cape in Norway to the Sahara Desert in Morocco. They now mix up their time between motorhome life and their base in Nottinghamshire, England.
