This option will not only help with fuel economy but will hopefully get us a bit fitter too.<\/p>\n<p>So what to do with Charlie the pooch? He has a tendency to play chicken with oncoming bike wheels when we&#8217;re out walking, and likes to stop suddenly to sniff stuff, so him running along side didn&#8217;t look like a good idea. He&#8217;s a tad too heavy for a basket either up front or behind (even after his recent diet), so we decided to get him a dog bicycle trailer, which we&#8217;ve named his pooch chariot.<\/p>\n<p>Last weekend after frantic bidding on eBay we won a child bike trailer for the princely sum of \u00a340. We got home and J took it out for a spin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SeuOHVbsRQc\" width=\"425\" height=\"349\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Not the most successful test run. But after some adjustment, bribery with treats and using his collar to secure him, pooch now seems quite happy in his chariot.
