It&#8217;s not the neatest of finishes in places, we admit, but it&#8217;s much better than before.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After reading lots of helpful descriptions on the motorhome forums, we opted to use these materials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>white matt PlastiKote paint (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B006O6CTTO\/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=reviewpagebottom-21&amp;creative=6738&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B006O6CTTO&amp;linkId=230d305a09e69bd7fcb681ff68e595c4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">available here from Amazon<\/a>). We used one full can of this.<\/li><li>and a Fastglas Fibre Glass kit (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B01B85H5C6\/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=reviewpagebottom-21&amp;creative=6738&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B01B85H5C6&amp;linkId=7376dd21506837b76c90daa71f66c82c\">available here from Amazon<\/a>). The only real problem we had was with the deadbolt! It&#8217;s probably been in place for quite a while now. Two philips-headed bolts go through the lock plate on the back of the door and into the lock holder which is pulled into place from the front of the door. These were seized and had to be drilled out. We found some replacement bolts at B&amp;Q but they weren&#8217;t quite the right diameter, and the countersunk heads protruded a small amount above the lock plate, which means the lock wouldn&#8217;t rotate. After some faffing we ground down the front of the countersunk heads and managed to use nuts to attach the front of the lock.
