He&#8217;s next to spaces specifically designed for motorhomes and caravans (i.e. they are extra long) but has chosen to stop in a standard space, because he can fit and it has a better view (<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=loc:63.55464,27.18686\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">N63.55464, E27.18686<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-22461\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DSC04133-1024x768-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Motorhome parking Iisalmi\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DSC04133-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DSC04133-1024x768-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DSC04133-1024x768-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DSC04133-1024x768-174x131.jpg 174w, https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DSC04133-1024x768-70x53.jpg 70w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s update will be short because I&#8217;ve already had some cider and now moved onto some shandy &#8211; so my fingers aren&#8217;t working very well!<\/p>\n<p>I slept so well last night after the sauna, I felt really relaxed and my skin is really smooth now, I can see why the Finns love them so much. I&#8217;ve never really been a big fan of the sauna because of the dry heat, I prefer steam rooms, but the smoke sauna and lake were the perfect combination, even if we weren&#8217;t allowed to bash each other with birch branches&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This morning we headed further north, the weather forecast didn&#8217;t look great for the national park, so we&#8217;ve skipped it and made our way to a lakeside town instead. \u00a0Stopping at a Shell petrol station on the way, as our database said it has an a<em>jokaivot<\/em> (service point), we topped up with fuel then hunted around for it for a while. In the end I went in and asked in my best Finnish where it was. they got the idea and fetched someone who spoke great English to show me. Turns out we had already spied it, but it was locked and we needed to go to the station for the key. We also know of another parking place nearby for tomorrow if the 24 hours are strictly enforced, so we&#8217;re here for a couple of days. There is thunder rumbling around over the lake, but we&#8217;ve managed to squeeze in a short walk and a drink in the local cafe (\u20ac11.50 for a beer and a cider!).<\/p>\n<div
