Zagan\u2019s wheels haven’t moved an inch. He’s enjoying the rest in the best spot at\u00a0Camping Ro\u017eac<\/a>\u00a0(N43.50524, E16.25766). We\u2019ve now been here for a fortnight, moving twice to get into this pitch – and there is still no sign of our 2016 ACSI card. The delivery said 10 – 12 working days, so it’s not late yet, but now, finally, after two weeks in one spot we’re starting to feel the urge to move on. It’s not a massive pull, but we’re now starting to feel a bit down when the receptionist says there is no post, instead of the joy we felt in the first week here. I guess we wanted the decision of when to leave to be ours, but now it looks like it’s going to be the postman’s.<\/p>\n

The campsite itself is quiet, the season hasn’t started here yet. There is the odd bit of building noise as workers finish off a new hotel and leisure complex which will be part of the campsite soon, the future is looking good for Okrug Gornji. For now though, the place is still in limbo, a\u00a0couple of beach bars and restaurants are open, but businesses around the bay are mainly closed – even some of the\u00a0supermarkets, shelves sat empty waiting for the season to kick in and goods to fill them.<\/p>\n

The arrival of Lifeinourvan.com<\/a>\u00a0at the campsite woke us up from our lethargy. Richard, Catherine, Lottie and Libby’s excitement, passion and drive to do things has rubbed off on us – maybe that’s where the seeping need to move on has come from. They planned to stay for a day or two, it turned into five – this campsite does that to you – but during those days and evenings it felt like we had been friends for a lifetime.<\/p>\n

During their time here Richard told us how they became ambassadors for their Adria<\/a> motorhome along with a number of other products, one of which was a series of cleaning products for motorhomes and caravans. Over a few beers I joked about the troubles we’d had removing the sunflower stickers on Zagan and five minutes later he was there in the dark, cleaning them off with the Caravanbrite insect remover. Feeling guilty we finally managed to stop him, but he resumed the following day giving Zagan a polish and putting rainguard on his windows. Richard’s boundless energy knows no limits and now Zagan looks super shiny. The ambassador thing prompted much discussion on Team Zagan, are we missing a trick? We’re not sure, but it is certainly a different way of looking at funding your adventure.<\/p>\n

As you would expect, when two bloggers come together there were many hours of talk about blogs, twitter, facebook and instagram – which was a new one to us. We’ve now created an instagram<\/a> account to showcase the best of our travel photos (which we are in the process of sorting and uploading), and so everything is the same we’ve also\u00a0changed our name on Twitter<\/a> and Facebook<\/a> to OurTourBlog – which everyone thought was more fitting.<\/p>\n

It was sad to see those guys finally leave yesterday, but a visit to the Adria factory in Slovenia was calling them. We’ve no such thing to lure us away from here, but I expect when the book does arrive we’ll be happy to up anchor and get back on the road. For now, we’re just enjoying the rest.<\/p>\n
