That’s what I keep saying, I’m beginning to sound like Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses ‘This time next year Rodney….we’ll be millionaires’, only for us it’s ‘this time tomorrow we’ll be in France’ – or on the ferry at least.<\/p>\n

We had a great night’s sleep in the motorhome parking at\u00a0Lytham St Annes, by the morning there were around 24 vans parked up ready for the weekend. The council should be applauded\u00a0for recognising a need for decent, reasonably priced motorhome parking, as\u00a0so many other councils stick height barriers up to keep us out. Anyway, enough of my soapbox.<\/p>\n

We have both decided\u00a0to start running, well jogging, in order to keep fit while we are away. I’ve developed a cough, so that meant I got out of the first run of our trip, but Jay went for it and ran to the sea and back.<\/p>\n

It might not sound far, but in Lytham the sea was about a mile out, luckily Charlie was on hand to guide him back in.<\/p>\n

We left just before 10am when our ticket ran out, and our space in one of the seven larger bays was taken up as we drove off. After a quick stop at Sandbach services for\u00a0Jay to trim his beard, we were at Chris and Tina’s place by 2.30pm.<\/p>\n

We had a fantastic evening talking about pretty much every topic under the sun, drinking wine and eating a rather tasty curry.\u00a0We slept in Zagan who was parked up on their street; we were offered a bed, but we love our own space and it means Charlie’s snoring doesn’t keep everyone else awake – we’re used to it now.<\/p>\n

This morning with thick heads, we were greeted by Chris who had made a\u00a0wonder fruit juice cocktail with probably more than my five a day in one glass, accompanied by his breakfast speciality – Bacon and Avocado sarnies. Seriously, if you have never tried them you should – they are the best and we always think of him when we have one. After long, hot showers (probably our last ones for a couple of months) we all headed out for a walk around the local park. Libby walked Charlie, while Chris and Tina’s whippets ran rings around everyone, disappearing off into the woods at the speed of light only to fly back when called.<\/p>\n

All too soon it was time to go, we could have happily stayed there for a week as they are so welcoming. Back on the road for another couple of hours and we arrived at a Britstop<\/a>, this time a pub near High Wycombe (which is why there are no co-ordinates for today’s post, you’ll need to buy the book to find out where it is!).<\/p>\n

We hadn’t planned on having a meal, but the staff were so welcoming and it smelt so good we (by that I mean I, the budget keeper) couldn’t resist. Jay had a chilli and I had a feta and spinach pie, both washed down with our last expensive pints for a while. That’s because this time tomorrow…..<\/p>\n
