A couple of pints might get quaffed, as I&#8217;ve only 8 working hours left to go. I&#8217;m finally, finally getting excited, as I write down actions for meetings, and none of them are for me! Ooooh, yeah! What a feeling.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve started saying bye to the guys at work now, as I won&#8217;t see some of them tomorrow. They&#8217;ve been a great bunch, and it&#8217;s been a fulfilling experience working with them. The project wasn&#8217;t simple, but was a good test and I&#8217;m happy with where I&#8217;m leaving it. The lads will get it nailed in the next 2 or 3 months.<\/p>\n<p>My work laptop bag is ready to hand over tomorrow (I&#8217;ll try not to throw it). Ju&#8217;s cleaned the Cooler and been on the phone sorting insurance and final, last gasp building work for tomorrow! Zagan awaits our clothes and food, and us, and a weigh-in at the local weigh bridge. After which we may find ourselves flinging away half of those spanners I just packed&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My plan to spend the afternoon supping wine at my desk has been scuppered by some daft corporate policy thing, and by someone booking meetings with me all afternoon, and by the fact it&#8217;s just a normal Wed afternoon for everyone else. It&#8217;s not going to be a normal Wed evening for us though. We&#8217;re summiting folks, just the Hillary Step to scrabble up and we&#8217;ll be peering out into a beautiful future.<\/p>\n<p>Right, time for that cheeky pint. Cheers!
