We set that site up in January 2014 as we embarked on our journey to financial freedom. The Money Muppet site no loner exists, so we&#8217;ve incorporated our financial journey into our travel blog.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It can be done, assuming you&#8217;re not already in your forties, can you be financially free in your thirties. Yep, your 30&#8217;s. I&#8217;ve personally met no-one who&#8217;s achieved this jaw-dropping feat, but I have virtually come across families who&#8217;ve done it and blogged it. The blog&#8217;s hard hitting, generally pointing out how daft we all are. He and his family live a (tongue in cheek) <a title=\"Living on \u00a316000 a year\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mrmoneymustache.com\/2012\/06\/01\/raising-a-family-on-under-2000-per-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deprived life<\/a>\u00a0living on \u00a316,000 ($27,000) a year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ere.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-16347 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ere-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"ere financial education blog\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ere-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ourtourmedia.s3.eu-central-003.backblazeb2.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ere.jpg 935w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Early Retirement Extreme\" href=\"http:\/\/earlyretirementextreme.com\/about-the-blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/earlyretirementextreme.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jacob, who has a PhD in sub-atomic physics (I kid you not) made himself financially free at 33. He&#8217;s blogged about it, and <a title=\"Early Retirement Extreme\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/145360121X\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1634&amp;creative=6738&amp;creativeASIN=145360121X&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=financial-freedom-posts-21&amp;linkId=f55edc702942cf6dfd7b4812c084e269\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">written a book<\/a>.
