We’re here: still in Silves as I feel pants. The weather is: the odd cloud but mostly sunny and warm even when the sun’s down. Emails arrived from our friends who’ve made it into Morocco today. I got all excited as was keen to move on, until the dreaded lurgy struck and I found myself in bed for hours. Poor old Ju must have been bored silly. We did make it out for a wander around town, but I’ll come clean, some of the photos are from yesterday.

Moors versus Christians. Looks like it was all quite a friendly affair?

Ah, I can see why the Christians won in the end. Hair cut money must have gone on weapons.

Last night's €10 splash out. Nope, my hands haven't mysteriously grown, it's a 40cc glass.

Now they are some radishes! Or are they?

Chestnut roaster mobile. Drum brakes on the front I noticed, best not to get in his way as he ain't stopping.

Over exuberant Portuguese donut thing buying. The seller's face is priceless, the poor chap didn't know what to make of me.

King wotsisname the 2nd. Good at killing Moors it seems, although he somehow managed to lose Silves back to them at one point despite being 15 foot tall.

We found some satches of cat food next to the van at Lidl. Well, it would have been a shame to waste them. No purring so far.

Oranges. Moors introduced 'em. You can get 3kg for a euro.

Retirement village on wheels. Mainly Dutch, English and German. self grouped by nationality. We ended up in the Dutch area!
Cheers, the man-flu riddled Jay
